Un Milliard pour RIEN est une œuvre conceptuelle composée d’un faux article de presse relatant la vente fictive d’un tableau pour un montant d’un milliard de dollars. L’installation inclut une mise en page journalistique réaliste, une photographie du tableau (fond blanc, lettrage noir, mot « RIEN »), et une légende mimant les codes du reportage culturel.
L’ensemble forme une construction où la valeur artistique est entièrement générée par le discours qui l’entoure : spéculation, narration, médiatisation. L’œuvre explore les paradoxes de l’économie de l’art contemporain, la crédulité des systèmes de légitimation, et la capacité du langage à produire de la valeur ex nihilo.

One Billion for NOTHING is a conceptual artwork composed of a fake press article recounting the fictitious sale of a painting for the amount of one billion dollars. The installation includes a realistic journalistic layout, a photograph of the painting (white background, black lettering, the word « NOTHING »), and a caption mimicking the conventions of cultural reporting.
The whole forms a construct where the artistic value is entirely generated by the discourse surrounding it: speculation, narration, and media exposure. The work explores the paradoxes of the contemporary art economy, the credulity of legitimization systems, and the capacity of language to produce value ex nihilo.
